Verbs and verb endings.

Remember the rules!

• If the last three letters of the verb are in this order 'consonant, vowel, consonant' you double the last consonant before adding 'ing' or 'ed'.
  For example;

skip becomes skipping
jump becomes jumping

• When the 'i' comes to stay the 'e' runs away.
  For example;

  save becomes saving.

Write the correct verb endings, cut the verbs out and add them to the sentences.

I like skipping with a rope.

I am taking my dog for a walk.

The bunny rabbit hopped away.

I danced at the disco.

I like kicking a ball with my friends.

My mum likes digging in the garden. I keep finding worms in the compost. I watered the garden and the plants started growing. We are collecting the seeds so we can keep planting our favorite vegetables. Making compost and saving rare seeds is one way of protecting the environment. Recycling our waste and using less is also important.
