23. ACT Government re-launches online FIX MY STREET, where Canberrans can report neighbourhood issues such as cracked footpaths. Canberrans can also use the service to track their request online. To report a problem, Canberrans need to simply fill out a form, give a brief description of the problem and the location and click the send button. Users can identify the location via a clickable map and upload photos to accompany their report.

Fix My Street can be accessed through www.act.gov.au and www.canberraconnect.act.gov.au.

22 December: ACT Government announces funding for cycle path and footpath maintenance
The ACT Government has commenced a $2.85 million maintenance drive to repair and upgrade Canberra's cycle paths and footpaths,.

14 December: Canberra Pedestrian Forum strategic planning workshop
developed a Vision and Mission, and a draft set of Aims and Objectives for the Canberra Pedestrian Forum.

6 November Media Release – Last chance to ask for a footpath.
The ACT Government's draft 7-year Pedestrian and Cyclist infrastructure plans will be on display from Monday 9 November to Sunday 15 November 2009 on the TAMS website and in Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Woden, Belconnen and Civic. Our 19 October Submission on Australian Road Rules 9th Amendment Package calls for a review of traffic light Rules for pedestrians, in the light of their poor road safety and traffic congestion performance.
