1978, 93,000 kms since the motor rebuild in 2001
and 557,000 kms since new. Price: $3,900
ONO Victorian rego: AHI 469, expiry October
2008, RWC: No. Needs master clutch cylinder
replacement, LH bushes replaced and some
steering adjustments and other minor repairs.
Original wheels. Body: Original metallic
blue, excellent condition, no structural rust,
no rust in boot wells. Some small marks on doors
that have been repaired and hasn’t spread. One
small dint in right hand headlight.
Interior: Very good condition, original colour
grey interior. Some marks on roof lining but
generally very good. Seats, console, dash,
steering wheel and carpets in excellent
condition.
Services undertaken every 10,000kms by
registered Peugeot mechanic. Motor in
great condition, starter motor replaced last
week. Original manual transmission is in
excellent condition and very smooth. Car
driven daily in city, suburbs and on regular
long country runs (at least 1 a month).
Performed well in all circumstances. Does not
overheat in summer.
Recent work undertaken:
2001: Engine reconditioned with 505 head to
switch to unleaded. Pug genuine parts. Motor in
great running condition. Worth $3,300.
2001: Heavy duty radiator & thermo fan
added. This car does not overheat. Drivers seat
also rebuilt. CD player & speakers added.
Roof, front end & boot, and doors resprayed
original colour.
2007: exhaust & muffler replaced; alternator
replaced with 505 alternator (difficult finding
a 504 one); heater core cleaned out & fixed.
Now works perfectly.
2008: brakes done; Starter motor replaced; right
hand bushes replaced.

Electric Heated Leather Seats, Electric Windows,
Cruse Control, Climate Control (Needs regasing
and new fan), Trip Computer, V6 Power, Remote
Central Locking, Tow Bar. Minor dint on front
passenger fender and mirror. 242000km on the
clock with a rebuild on the motor done 3000km's
ago. A lot of money spent in the last four years
on maintenance. Needs some TLC to get it back to
show room condition. Lovely car to drive.
