Canberra Kreigspeilers is an informal gathering of Wargamers in the Australian Capital territory. The Meetings are held monthly at the Austrian Australian Club, Heard St, Mawson ACT from 11:00 AM on the fourth Sunday of each month (February to November).
The group will happily host a wide variety of games in a relaxed atmosphere with full bar service and only a short walk to the Southlands Shopping Centre. There is a solid group of DBA players involved in an ongoing campaign. Extra players (ongoing or drop in) are always welcome.
In the past the club has played host to games of DBA, DBM, Warrior, Flames of War, Fire and Fury, Warhammer, Warhammer Ancients, War Machine and Mordheim.
All Games and Gamers are welcome at our new venue

For those that have played in the ACT's DBA Competitions you will know about our Magister Militum prize given away at these tournaments for the best adjusted score. We use an element rating system that can be viewed on the Resources page of Fanaticus here ( Element Rating System ) to work out a rating for each army based on the relative effectiveness of the elements. This adjusted score is used to handicap game results. The prize is given to the highest adjusted score outside the top 3 place getters.
From 2009 Canberra Kriegspielers and the Canberra Games Society have instituted the Magister Militum per Capitoline Territorialis (The Master of the Soldiers of the Capital Territory). Players who compete in at Least 3 of the listed tournaments in the ACT Cirucuit can qualify for the prize - which is calculated as the average of their BEST 3 Magister Miliutm placings across the ACT Circuit. It is awarded to the highest placed player at the conlcusion of the Circuit (Cancon)
The Current Champion after Cancon 2011 is Doug Melville. The next circuit will conclude shortly at Cancon 2012 and the 2011/12 Champion (New or Recycled) Will be entrthroned.
This event is proudly sponsored by Eureka Miniatures - with a DBA Army being offered to the winner along with their name being engraved on the perpetual sheild.
The following retailers and manufacturers have generously sponsored a number of the Kriegspieler events. Please support these people as they support us.
